AFL Premiership coach Paul Roos has a proud Patron of YMCA Bridge Project since June, 2018.
Roos understands more than most the difference strong leadership can make to young people, having coached Sydney Swans to the club’s first AFL premiership in 72 years in 2005.
The AFL Hall-of-Famer was also considered a strong leader in his playing days, captaining Fitzroy in 122 games and even winning the AFLPA Best Captain Award in 1992.
Currently, Roos has a handful of roles in the media including co-hosting On The Couch on Fox Footy and providing expert commentary during the AFL season on both Fox Footy and Triple M.
Speaking on his reasons for supporting the YMCA Bridge Project, the AFL great was inspired by the support given to young people in need of mentorship and an opportunity to reach their full potential.
"The work they do with young people in the justice system is so important to local communities."
