Each year, business leaders and change-makers unite for an unforgettable morning at the YMCA Bridge Project Breakfast.
The event has welcomed many important figures and some famous guest speakers including AFL Premiership coach and current Bridge Project patron Paul Roos. Others that have attended or spoken at the breakfast include AFL Premiership coach Mick Malthouse, Minister for Industry & Employment Ben Carroll, and former Deputy Premier Rob Hulls.
Most importantly, the event provides the opportunity for attendees to hear how they have the power to profoundly impact a young person’s life when they hear the stories of previous Bridge Project participants.
The event also serves to raise funds for YMCA Bridge Project, and 100% of funds raised on the day go directly to providing essential items such as equipment and uniforms for YMCA Bridge Project’s programs and services.
Thanks in no small part to our event sponsor, Far East Consortium, the 2018 Bridge Project Breakfast saw us raise over $100,000.
This year at the breakfast we also set the target of creating 30 more employment opportunities for young people. We called on the capacity crowd of over 400 business leaders at Myer Mural Hall to find ways they could offer these opportunities and how they could work with YMCA Bridge Project to positively impact young people’s lives.
