Serco’s alignment with YMCA’s Rebuild Facility Services Team, a division & partner of the YMCA Bridge Project, who provide opportunities to vulnerable young people experiencing barriers to getting a job, began when we first engaged with the team at the City of Melbourne Social Enterprises Expo in October 2012.
It should also be noted that currently around 80% of the youths engaged by the team are of an indigenous background.
Since that first engagement in 2012, the Serco OSFM contract have engaged the ReBuild team to spread hundreds of cubic metres of mulch to the valuable tree avenues in Melbourne’s Parks & Gardens to assist with water retention during the hot summer months. In addition, we engaged the team to assist with a landscaping project at the local Princes Hill Primary School.
At all times we have been extremely satisfied with the efficiency and work ethic of the ReBuild crew members.
